Volkswagen and Porsche have announced a recall of approximately 800,000 vehicles due to a possible problem within the pedal system.

Which VW & Porsche models are affected by the recall?

Model year 2011 – 2016 VW Touareg and Porsche Cayenne SUVs.

What causes the possible pedal issue?

A problem was detected within the internal checks of a loose retaining ring on the bearing block of the pedal system.

Are there any known accidents attributed to the defect?

At this time, no known accidents have been reported by VW or Porsche attributing to the defect.

What do I do if my car is one of those affected?

VW & Porsche will be notifying all owners soon, and will examine the vehicle, at no cost.
